Governmental Affairs
The largest return on investment for home builder and land developer members of BIA GV comes from our Government Affairs activities. Each month BIA GV staff reviews the agendas of:
Commissions
Additionally, we monitor the activities of 61 school districts and several regional agencies with regulatory powers. Annually, we review the spending activity of all local agencies which collect impact fees to ensure the fee dollars are spent for appropriate purposes.
We also coordinate efforts with the California Building Industry Association and the National Association of Home Builders on state and national issues respectively.
With government agencies and policy makers, BIA GV is the shield and sword of the Building Industry protecting the rights of our members and when necessary enforcing those rights.
